NICET Ambassador – Provides Decibel Meters to Mobile Fire Department

When NICET Ambassador, Tom Rose, learned that the Mobile Fire Department, Community Risk Reduction Bureau's (plans, permits & inspections) four field inspectors that review fire alarm system installations did not possess nor have access to digital decibel measurement devices, he made it his mission to provide them meters. With support from his employer R. Carter, Mr. Rose recently supplied five brand new meters to Captain Samuel Allen. One meter for each inspector plus a spare.

“These devices were sorely needed by our inspectors to assist them with their inspection requirements at various facilities. This will most certainly contribute to our department-wide goal to receive accreditation to be added to our current top rating on the ISO scale. This will make our department only one of six total fire departments in the U.S. that have achieved this accreditation.
