New Public Website Too

New NICET Home PageNICET has redesigned the website with improved navigation, updated content and a new look and feel. Launched earlier this week, the new site is the result of a combination of customer suggestions and technology improvements. Please take a moment to explore the new features. Keep in mind the Login/Registration and Verify Certified Personnel sections will not be available until October 22, 2019.

Here are some highlights—

The top navigation is common to all pages and includes Registration/Login, About, Verify Certified Personnel, and Contact from the old site. We modified the second row of links to feature the things visitors look for most: Certification Programs, Exams, Work Experience, Training, Get Certified, Recertify and Upgrade Certification. Clicking on the NICET logo (top-left corner) takes you back to the home page.

The new site is built using responsive design, so the features rearrange themselves to display better on different device types. Depending on the screen size of your device the top navigation disappears and is replaced with what programmers call the “hamburger”. This is the familiar three lines that you see in most apps that when you click or tap, open to additional things you can see or do. The top navigation on NICET’s site now collapses to the “hamburger” for smaller devices and laptops/desktops if you zoom in. Clicking the “hamburger” opens the navigation.

The main section features information about NICET, certification and announcements. Below that the most popular areas (Get Certified, Recertify and Upgrade Certification) are repeated visually as part of the responsive design. Next is the Quick Links drop down menu for other important areas like Allowed References and the NICET Store. Keep scrolling for the Career Center, News and Training Providers.

Get Certified provides a list of the certification programs NICET offers. The name of each program is a link to what we call the “program page”. We redesigned each program page, so it is easier to find certification requirements, content outlines, references, costs, exam details, etc.

It is our hope that these improvements give a clear and concise path through the certification process; and will save you time along the way. We are not finished though. We see this as a continuous improvement endeavor; and your feedback is vital to our success.
