The NICET Board of Governors and staff team wish you a happy holiday season and an exciting, successful year ahead!
We also want to give a huge thank-you to our technical volunteers, and the employers who support them, for helping develop programs, exams, and exam questions. Your expertise is what keeps NICET at the forefront of professional certification and ensures that engineering principles are applied in ways that protect communities and advance public safety. In 2025 alone, these efforts supported Highway Construction Inspection (HCI), Electrical Power Testing (EPT), Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems (ITWBS), Special Hazards Systems (SHS), and the pilot for the new Systems Software Integrator (SSI) certification. We couldn’t do this without you!
As the industries evolves, so do we. NICET is committed to keeping our exams and certifications aligned with current standards and real-world practice. In 2026, our focus shifts to Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) and a re-imagined Construction Materials Testing (CMT) program.
We appreciate your engagement with NICET (past, present, and future) and we’re here to support you as you grow your career. If you have questions or need help on your certification journey, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re glad to be part of your professional path.
Sincerely,
