No refunds are guaranteed. Each refund decision will be made on a case-by-case basis. See the Refund Guidelines below.

Refunds Guidelines

IMPORTANT: Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Approved refunds are issued to the original payee.

Examination Activity
To request a refund for NICET examination activity, submit a written request to Regina Smith by e-mail, fax (703-682-2756), or U.S. mail (NICET, Attn: Regina Smith, 1420 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.)

Refunds are issued, minus a $80.00 processing fee, provided the following conditions are met:

  • An exam was not scheduled with Pearson VUE, and
  • The 90 day window is not expired.

In the event that one or both conditions are not met, a refund is not issued. Candidates will have an opportunity to request and submit a rescheduling request.

Other Services

Unless otherwise noted, NICET will not issue refunds for other paid services, such as: a job board listing, personal records and reports, practice test, training provider directory listing, etc. The exception to this is a duplicate request or overpayment.
