NICET is looking for qualified individuals to volunteer as item writers for Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems, Fire Alarms Systems and Water Based Fire Protection Systems Layout. Qualified individuals will be selected to attend item writing workshops and write questions for certification exams.

To qualify as a NICET item writer you

Must have experience in the field of fire alarm or fire sprinkler systems (at least 5 years)
Must have support from employer (to attend question writing workshops of at least 2 days each)
Must have extensive and current knowledge of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems and awareness of the important tasks that must be tested
Must not directly provide education on fire alarm or fire sprinkler systems.
