Standard Model/CBT (Computer-Based Testing)
To register for an exam you must, submit the Test Section of the paper application to NICET, or sign up for the exam through the "Exam Application" section of your online account. Once you receive the eligibility notice from NICET wait 24 hours then contact Pearson Vue to select your test time and location. More information about taking the exams can be found here.

REMINDER: the fastest way to sign up for a test date is to sign up for the exam through your online account. You'll be able to see how many seats are available for your desired test date/location, and have the option of paying for the exam with a credit card.
PLEASE NOTE: NICET does its very best to schedule you for either your first or second choice in location and/or dates. However, there are times when we cannot accommodate your request and your application is placed in a holding file until either additional space is obtained or dates for the next calendar year have been received at your requested locations. If you view your records on-line and/or receive notification from NICET regarding exam scheduling, this will be noted by a testing date of 12/30 or 12/31 in your date assigned fields. Once we have made the appropriate arrangements, we will notify you of your scheduled exam date.

All postmark deadlines are 7 weeks prior to the listed exam date. When the postmark deadlines is listed as a Sunday or a postal holiday, the deadline is the preceding day of postal operations.

Failure to submit full exam fee payment could delay your exam.
Applications must be submitted no later than the postmark deadline. If you have not received a confirmation letter by three weeks prior to your selected test date, please contact NICET. To reschedule your paper-and-pencil exam, please print out the Paper-and-Pencil Exam Rescheduling Request form.
