Fees
Below are the rates for the listed services. Do not add state or local taxes to any of the fees. Receipts for payment of fees are not issued; rather your canceled check is your proof of payment. Please note fees are subject to change at any time; however, whenever possible advance notice will be given. Certain NICET fees may be tax deductible on your individual federal income tax return when your involvement with NICET is for the purpose of maintaining and improving professional skills. Payments are not deductible as charitable expenses.
All fees listed below supersede fees listed on paper applications.
Examination Services
Technician Work Element Examination

| This fee applies to any exam sitting at a scheduled NICET test session, regardless of the length or type of exam. It is a flat fee because the process to generate, administer, and score an exam is not affected by the length of the exam. The only exception is the Special Recertification Exam; this is a per exam fee even when two exams are scheduled for the same day.
Exams administered at times and places different from scheduled test sessions (see Policy #18) will require an additional fee to cover the additional costs.
Under specific conditions, the Institute will offer a discounted exam fee to educational institutions or government agencies who wish to sponsor mass testing. Contact the Institute at 1-888-476-4238, ext. 106 for further information.

Fees assessed to exams scheduled and administered by Pearson VUE, regardless of length or type of exam. The Examination Fee is separate, and in addition to the Experience Application Fee for individuals seeking certification. |

The fee includes two reviews: an initial review and a second review in the event a candidate is required to submit additional documentation which would be outlined in a Conditional Decision Letter (CDL).
